This famed fortress-palace literally translates as Al-Qal'at al-ḤamrÄ, which means “the red fortress” and its style typifies and dominates the remains of Moorish dominion within Spain.
Contrasted with strikingly fair maple, the colour of the sapele is made all the more vibrant.
