Materials used in our products
All Krailler products are built using the finest quality materials and constructed to the highest European standards. We will discuss with you the materials and fittings most suitable for your needs and lifestyle. Our cabinets, veneers and panels come from a range of fine, internationally sourced and sustainable woods.
Durable worktops are available in dense natural stone, man-made composite materials, purpose-made glass or hardwood surfaces finished to a culinary grade. We aim to be as sustainable as possible in sourcing all our materials, and use local suppliers wherever possible. All appliances that we recommend are selected for energy efficiency as well as style and features.

Finishes
Finishes provide a protective and decorative coating for your kitchen, wardrobe, vanity unit, reception desk or any wooden product imaginable. We offer a range of clear and covering alternatives suitable for different purposes and styles.
Clear finishes
Clear lacquer
Highly durable and usually sprayed onto solid wood surfaces, clear lacquer comes in various grades of sheen, from matt to high gloss.
Oils
Danish, Tung and Osmo oils may be used where the natural surface of wood is to be more exposed. Oiled surfaces normally require periodic reapplication to maintain their integrity.
Varnish
A traditional style of finish, usually applied by brush and used for solid wood doors and floors.
Covering finishes
Sprayed lacquer
Sprayed lacquer provides a smooth, even finish where coloured units are installed. Ranging from matt to high gloss, we provide a full colour chart or can match virtually any colour you specify.
Paint
For the more traditional, brushed texture of a hand-finished surface, paint is available in matt, soft sheen or high gloss. As with our lacquers, we can provide you with a full colour chart or can match virtually any colour you specify.
Fittings
Selecting the right fittings, such as hinges, drawer runners, handles and locks, is key to creating wooden cabinets that are functional as well as beautiful. We only recommend quality brands that are recognised for their endurance. These include:
Appliances
Choice in appliances has never been greater, but we can help you navigate through the options and make the best selection for your needs. At Krailler, six key considerations determine our advice on appliances:
1. Energy Efficiency
In line with our belief in sustainability for the materials and finishes used for your kitchen, we recommend appliances from brands that offer products with high energy-efficiency ratings.
2. Water consumption
This can be a concern when specifying dishwashers or washing machines. We recommend products that offer market-leading performance without excessive use of water.
3. Style
Undoubtedly a vital factor in appliance choice, we will help you select from discreet built-in models or free-standing alternatives that enhance the design of your kitchen.
4. Features
How you will use your kitchen will enable us to recommend best choices for extraction of heat and cooking odours, space for food preparation and refrigeration, and options that minimise the trouble of cleaning.
5. Price
The final choice of appliances is often shaped by your budget and the size of your household. We can fully tailor our recommendations, ranging from maximum value for money through to no expense spared.
6. Warranty
A comprehensive warranty on appliances is essential and you may want to consider extended warranties. We prefer to recommend brands that we know offer a good after sales service.
